She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Karekel and Dorothy Karekel (Mast); her husband Kenneth Chaplin; her daughters, Vicki and Sherri; her parents-in-law, Fern and Harry Chaplin; her brother Donald Karekel (Betty); and her niece Becky Karekel.
She is survived by: her children, Shelly Silvey (Ron) and Kent Chaplin (Janis) of Iowa Falls; her grandchildren, Jessica Driscoll (Brendan) of Austin, Sara Knott (Jason), Angela Silvey (Brent Lennard), Brandon Chaplin (Janelle), Adam Silvey and Trevor Chaplin (Taran) of Iowa Falls; her great grandchildren, Kayla Driscoll, Kelsi Ackerman, Abbie Chaplin, Chloe Fagerlind, Klohie Ackerman, Kenley Chaplin, River Raske, Kayne Chaplin, Kohlten Knott, Kelanie Chaplin, Ava Driscoll and Tenley Chaplin; and her great great grandchild Braxton Dennis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
