She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Koop and Donna Knott (Ward); her husband Dennis Chaplin; her sisters, Diane and Linda; and her stepfather Roscoe.
She is survived by: her children, Bryan Chaplin (Janean) of Des Moines, Vern and Chad Chaplin (Clara) of Des Moines; and her siblings, Sally Brekunitch (Steve) of Iowa Falls and Douglas Knott of Des Moines. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Surls Funeral Home - Iowa Falls (505 Stevens St, Iowa Falls, IA 50126).
