Vivian Weldon Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vivian Weldon of Iowa City, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Orris and Esther Orris (Olson); her husband Red Weldon; her children, Dan, Tony, Jim and Peg; her grandsons, Brian Yauk and Nick Weldon; and her great grandchild Kyler Stockton.
She is survived by: her children, Pat Yauk (Garry), Jeff Weldon (Sally), Tim Weldon, Ron Weldon (Kathy) and Doug Weldon (Karen); her daughters-in-law, Sandy Weldon, Sue Weldon, Lea Weldon, Helen Weldon, Sharon Weldon and Shari Weldon; and her siblings-in-law, John and Sue Weldon. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service- Iowa City (605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City, IA 52244-0167). A reception was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Michael Cemetery or Iowa City Hospice.
