She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Scott and Rose Scott (Cerny); her siblings, Richard Scott, Roylene Johnson and Roy Scott, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Ginny Scott.
She is survived by: her husband Guy Smith; her sons, Joe Smith (Kelly) of Cedar Rapids and Scott Smith, Sr. of Iowa City; her grandchildren, Scott Smith, Jr. (Sandy), Marissa Smith, Miranda Avey (Will), Sydnie Smith, Christian Smith, Wyatt Smith, Harvey Smith and Harley Smith; her siblings, Raymond Scott of Iowa City and Rosemary Chown of Melrose, Wisconsin; and her siblings-in-law, Iris Scott of North Liberty and Virgil Johnson of Ottumwa.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service (2720 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
