She is survived by: her children, Marysue (Mike Milini) of Hillsboro Beach, Florida, Steve (Nancy Gatens) of Dallas, Texas and Mike (Julie Gatens) of Iowa City, Iowa; her grandchildren, Chad, Josh, Michael Manis, Nicole Gatens, Megan Morris (Brandon), Matt Gatens (Erin), Sarah Gatens and Marty Gatens (Emily); and her great grandchildren, Layne, Teddy, Banks Morris, Nash, Noa and Vayda Gatens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Don and Marylou Gatens Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Iowa City Community School District Foundation.
