Though Marilyn Joan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marilyn Joan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Marion R. Neely; her parents, Dr. W. H. Long and Norma Long (Tanck); and her sister Marjorie Long Hey. She is survived by: her children, Susan Neely and Robert Neely; her grandchildren, Eve Jones and Ben Jones; and her nephews, David Hey and Mitchell Neely (Laura).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Melrose Meadows (350 Dublin Dr, Iowa City, IA 52246).
