She was predeceased by: her parents, Julio Cruz Rosas and Rosita Fuentes Cruz. She is survived by: her husband Felix Almazan Perez; her daughter Alejandra "Alex" Margarita Almazan Cruz; her granddaughter Vivian Sofia; and her siblings, Sergito, Manuelito, Carmelita, Chelo, Piri, Chabelita, Yoya, Nelo, Lupita, Rico, Viva and Nena. She is also survived by godchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members she loved.

A Mass was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (3000 12th Ave, Coralville, IA 52241).
