She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Conrad and Mabel Conrad (Lausen); her husband Mel Chiles; and her siblings, Don Conrad and Betty Long.
She is survived by: her sons, Melvin Dee Chiles, Jr. (Susan) of Iowa City and John W. Chiles (Pattie) of Iowa City; and her grandchildren, Ryan (Kaye), Brett (Olivia), Chad (Courtney) and Branden Chiles (Laura). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (2600 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240). A reception will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Elks Lodge (637 Foster Rd, Iowa City, IA 52245).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Elks Lodge #590 pool fund.
