Joshua Philip Wisely Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 15, 2024, at the age of 35, Joshua Philip Wisely of Iowa City, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Isidoro, Aleja Carrillo, Gale and Constance Wisely; and his uncle Mario Carrillo.
He is survived by: his parents, Philip Wisely and Maria Wisely (Carrillo); his siblings, Aron Carrillo of Iowa City, Rebecca Britt (David) of Austin and Anthony Wisely of Iowa City; and his aunts and uncles, Gloria Arellano, Jose Carrillo (Linda), Rosalio Carrillo (Gloria), Clement Wisely (Stacey), Andrew Wisely (Lynn) and Rachel DeWitt (Roy).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service (2720 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (4330 St Patricks Dr, Iowa City, IA 52240). The military honors will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rock Island National Cemetery (Rock Island Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family of Joshua Wisely.
