James left this world on November 5, 2024, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Wiese and Wilma Wiese (Popp); his wife Nancy; and his children, Kate Gluba (John) of Iowa City, Andy Wiese of San Diego and Edward Wiese (Suzanne) of Crownsville. He was also cherished by five grandchildren, nieces and a nephew and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (123 E Market St, Iowa City, IA 52245). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in support of the Ted Wheeler Scholarship Fund or the Dan and Mary Collins, Accounting PhD Fellowship fund, to the University of Iowa Center for Advancement, P.O. Box 4550, Iowa City, IA 52244-4550.
