She was predeceased by: her parents, J. G. Schoenenberger and Rella Schoenenberger (Breeding); her husband Robert Duane (R. D.); her siblings, Chester (Chet), Nicholas, James, Saul, Fannie Anne Chervinka and Helen Axlund; and her niece Lavina Cerny.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Maria, Paul Benetti, Karina, Jason Casini (Des Moines) and Monica Frankl (Urbandale); her children, Margaret, Ellen, Antonia, Sophia (Benetti), Gabrielle, Max, Isabella (Casini), Samuel and Natalie (Frankl); and her sister-in-law Virginia Schoenenberger. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (214 E Jefferson St, Iowa City, IA 52245). A graveside service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery (34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003-3300).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Essence of Life Hospice or Table to Table.
