Esther Petersen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Esther Petersen (Iowa City, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 14, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry A. Asbe and Ida Elizabeth Asbe (Eliason); her husband Carl Robert Petersen (Bob); and her siblings, Luella Shoop, Doris Kueck, Iona Manuel, Norma Jean Sweat, Gladys Asbe, Donald Asbe and Robert Asbe.
She is survived by: her daughter Julie Busch (Douglas) of Iowa City; her grandchildren, Amy Busch Beim (Tucker) of Menlo Park and Andrew Busch (Katina) of Bettendorf; and also, Lucas, James, Maggie Busch, Mariah and Lauren Beim. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
