With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donna Edie (Iowa City, Iowa), who passed away on November 1, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Donna departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Donna. Though Donna may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Neale and Herbert Neale; her husband John William Edie; and her siblings, Elliott, Herbert Neale, Bonny Lou, Ardes LeFern Neale Lebrecht and Carol Ann Neale Rohr.
She is survived by: her sister Barbara Jane Neale Seglem of Fertile. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service (2720 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Oakland Cemetery (1000 Brown St, Iowa City, IA 52245).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Donna's name, to Table to Table, Iowa City, IA or Houses to Homes, Coralville, IA.
