With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Bell (Iowa City, Iowa), born in Washington, Iowa, who passed away on January 29, 2025 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Bell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald E. Bell and Ruth E. Bell; his brother Gary Bell of Cedar Rapids; and his brothers-in-law, Mike Arn and Gary Zeman.
He is survived by: his siblings, Marsha Arn of Peyton, CO, Caroline Zeman of West Branch and Douglas Bell (Janice S. Bell) of Downey; his sons, Erik D. Bell of Burlington and Daniel P. Bell (Mo) of Oakland, CA; his stepdaughters, Laconia Koerner (Jamie) of Robbinsdale, MN and Elizabeth Koerner-Scheidt (Peter) of Ames; and his granddaughters, Eleanor Bell and Norma Scheidt.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service- Iowa City (605 Kirkwood Ave, Iowa City, IA 52244-0167). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the High Point Church (4187 Landon Ave SW, Iowa City, IA 52240). A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at the same location.
The family request that any donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the University of Iowa Alzheimer's Research Program.
