He is survived by: his wife Lori; his sons, Joshua, Yoshi (Paige) and Nico (Claire); his grandchildren, Luka and Julian; his mother Hildegard; and his siblings, Bernadette (Rolf), Bernd (Kerstin) and Ursula (Dirk). He is also survived by extended family, including nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
He touched countless lives through both his personal warmth and his remarkable contributions to engineering and education.
