With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Gene Koedam of Inwood, Iowa, who passed away on January 15, 2023 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Koedam and Gertrude Koedam (Klarenbeek); his wife Laura Van Otterloo; his parents-in-law, Peter and Magdelena Van Otterloo; and his brothers-in-law, Berwyn Van Otterloo and Harlan Van Engen.
He is survived by: his sons, Chad Koedam (Brenna) of Ireton, Mark Koedam (Ashely) of Sioux Falls and Brent Koedam (Mandi) of Cherokee, Iowa; his grandchildren, Logan, Cullen, Eden, Kenzie and Kaely; his siblings, Merle Koedam (Ruth) of Alvord, Shirley Van Voorst (Arnie) of Inwood, Wes Koedam (Marge) of Alvord, Gloria Bomgaars (Mike) of Inwood and Kenny Koedam (Amy) of Inwood; and his siblings-in-law, Harvey Van Otterloo (Joanne) of Rock Valley, Art Van Otterloo (Margaret) of Hull, Dennis Van Otterloo (Nelva) of Brandon, Jeanette Van Engen of Doon, Viola Van Otterloo of Denver and Luretta Van Otterloo of Doon. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
