With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Halma (Inwood, Iowa), born in Worthington, Minnesota, who passed away on October 21, 2019 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry and Frances (Vanden); her husband Martin; her daughter Lisa; and her siblings-in-law, Joy, Mona De Wit and Ed Driesen.
She is survived by: her children, Ron Halma of Phoenix, Harlan Halma of Inwood, LeAnn Soldatke (Kevin) of Harrisburg, Jean Boote (Dennis) of Fairview, Verlyn Halma of Inwood, Lori Boon (Elmer) of Rock Valley, Myron Halma (Sue) of Sioux Center and Dan Halma of Larchwood, Iowa; and her siblings, Lee Jongerius (Don), Gert Hibma (Cornie), Linda Kooiman (Simon), John De Wit (Greta), Martin "Bud" De Wit and Ed De Wit. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
