He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Hanzen and Mary Hanzen (Serck); his wife Joey Wiese; his daughter Teri Haga; and his siblings, Walter Hanzen (Gladys) and Viola Watke-Meiburg.
He is survived by: his daughter Tami Soukup (Lance Dieken); his grandchildren, Mandy Haga, Nicole Guse (Paul), Cory Soukup and Drew Soukup; his great grandchildren, Thomas and Simone; his close friend Shirley Cmela; and his sister-in-law Barbara Lueck. He is also survived by many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
