We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2020, at the age of 97, Marlo Hanson of Inwood, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marlo Hanson to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur C. Hanson and Emma Hanson (Helder); his wife Norma Jane Moen; his great grandchild Tucker; and his brothers, Harland and Eldon Hanson.

He is survived by: his children, Debra, Barbara, Paul Hanson (Jolayne) of Sioux Falls, SD, Deb Hanson (Dave Atkinson) of Wells, Jack Hanson (Felicia) of Luverne, MN and Barb Johnson (Mark) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his sister-in-law Bette Hanson of Inwood. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefer memorials be given to Fellowship Village of Inwood or Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

“So sorry for the loss of yet another Hanson patriarch. Marlo was my Dad's first cousin but to me he was like an uncle. I always looked forward to my visits in Inwood and Alton growing up as Jack was the same age as me. MY Dad always spoke about the days of the "6 Hanson boys" playing basketball growing up in Inwood and the Hanson farm. And Jane and my mom were good friends who worked together in Calif. during WWII. I will miss hearing Marlo's stories of old and his calm demeaner. RIP”
