It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Bouwman of Inwood, Iowa, born in Canton, South Dakota, who passed away on June 1, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jim Faber and Sadie Faber (Folkerts); her son Christopher; her husband Roger Bouwman; her children, Jeromy Bouwman (Dana), Chris Bouwman, Derrick Bouwman (Shannon) and Christian Bouwman of Queens Creek, AZ.; her grandchildren, Shelby, Makenah, Jadyn, Brandon, Marissa, Ava and Ruby; her brother Dennis Faber; her siblings-in-law, Doug Bliek (Leanne) and Nancy Bouwman (Klyn); her sister Carol (Bouwman); her brother-in-law Bill Meyer; her siblings, Michael Faber and Sue Bliek (Faber); and her parents-in-law, Dick and Jeanette Bouwman (Boekestein).
Although the pandemic stopped all touring in 2020, she was excitedly working on tours for later in 2021 when she suffered what proved to be a fatal heart arrest.
Memorial contributions will go towards a new bench seat at the Inwood City Park (Foote Park) in memory of Karen.
