She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sandbulte and Rebecca Sandbulte (Wesselink); her husband Pastor Richard Kooistra; her sons, Douglas and Phillip Kooistra; her grandson Joel Kooistra; and her siblings, John Sandbulte, Duane Sandbulte, Lloyd Sandbulte, Henry Sandbulte, Hermina Ykema, Henrietta Draayer, Angeline Korver, Iola Statema and Sharon Kats.
She is survived by: her children, Marlo Kooistra (Kathy Knyfd) of North Haledon, Steven Kooistra (Donna Galbraith) of Nappanee, Janice Witt (Todd) of Fairbanks, Phyllis Verderame (Michael) of State College, Lois Suffern (Edward) of Queensbury and Rachel Floyd (Armond) of Altoona, Iowa; and her siblings, Howard Sandbulte (Bernice), Glen Sandbulte, Rodney Sandbulte (Carol) and Laura Westra (Jim). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
