It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Rose Folkerts of Inwood, Iowa, who passed away on October 4, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Duim and Rosie Duim; her husband Henry Folkerts of Inwood, Iowa.; her siblings, Garret Duim, Arthur Duim, Florence Van Biezen (Bill) and Alberta Eshuis (Jerry); and her grandson Kyle Walker (Angela).
She is survived by: her children, Sylvia Murray (Dan), Elaine Walker (Rodney), Darlene Newman, Gloria Werkhoven (Andy), James Folkerts (Kerri), Pierre Folkerts (Beth) and Julie Ethier; her brothers, Wilber Duim (Margaret), Alfred Duim (Louise) and Dennis Duim (Linda); and her sister-in-law Marie Duim. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside at 1 p. m. Due to Covid, we encourage social distancing, and masks are required for the service.
