It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ostrander (Indianola, Iowa), born in Houston, Missouri, who passed away on August 3, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kassell Sinclair and Ruby Sinclair; her children, Rick and Kim; and her stepgrandson Shawn Chaplin.
She is survived by: her husband James Ostrander of Indianola; her children, Sherry May (Timothy Dippold) of Albuquerque, NM and Scott (Paula Ervin) of Jewell; her daughter-in-law Angie Ervin of Wyoming, Iowa; her stepchildren, Jeff (Peggy Ostrander), Joel (Shelby Ostrander) and Julie Ostrander of Truro, IA.; her grandchildren, Dr. Allyson, Michael Davidson of Storm Lake, Anna Ervin of Humboldt, Abby Ervin of Jewell, Marley, Ryan Taube, David Chaplin, Jacob and Lucas Ervin; her stepgrandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Isaac, Jase, Payton and Gracie Ostrander; her sister Gladys; her brother-in-law Bill Harris of Newton; her brother Ken; and her sister-in-law Bev of Sioux City. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
