She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles DeSotel and Abbie Monroe DeSotel; and her husband Melvin H. Martens. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen, Norma, Nancy and Mary Porter; her grandchildren, Stacey, Neil, Karl and Anna; her great grandchildren, Luke, Abigail, Levi, James, Dorothy and Evelyn; her great great grandchild Siegfried; and also, Ron Larson, Roger Erickson and Ted Van Zant.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Linn Grove Cemetery.
