Owen Lowe left this world on March 21, 2025 at the age of 84, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Karen; his parents, Owen Duncan and Dorothy Sammons; and his brother Forrest Duncan (Sam). He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Duncan (Mark Davitt) and Lora (James Patton); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Davitt, Duncan Davitt (Emily Young) and Isabella Patton (Lisa Bell); his brother Jim Duncan of Huntington; his sisters-in-law, Sally McCaskey of Hilton Head and Sandy Haeberle of Silverdale, Washington; and his pet Clyde. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity United Presbyterian Church (200 S Howard St, Indianola, IA 50125). Born in 1940, during WW II, he celebrated his 80th birthday with a drive by card shower as COVID took hold.
Memorials in memory of Owen may be given to Simpson College, Trinity United Presbyterian Church or Kiya Koda Humane Society's building fund.
