With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Melven Jay Pfaff of Indianola, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Melven Jay leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Melven Jay may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rupert J. Pfaff and Gladys "Irene" Pfaff (Tigner); his brother Marlon Pfaff; his nephew Luke Pfaff; and his niece Danielle Sheehan (Pfaff).
He is survived by: his brothers, Scotty Pfaff (Shirley), Galen Pfaff (Katie), Steven Pfaff (Denise) and Charles Pfaff (Belinda). He is also survived by five nephews and four nieces and many great nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Melven may be given to the Indianola American Legion Post # 165.
