It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Marie Drew of Indianola, Iowa, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Marie Drew to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mearle Rhinesmith and Adele Rhinesmith (Varada); her husband Fred; and her brother Paul F. Rhinesmith. She is survived by: her children, Robert E. Drew (Eleanor), Paul A. Drew (Theresa), Diane I. Drew, David A. Drew, Catia L. Barker (Richard) and Souphy Saychareun (Thongnak). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home (5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Moines United Methodist Church (6205 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Fort Des Moines United Methodist Church in loving memory of Jean.
