He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen J Piffer and Harry W Piffer Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Judy Louise Waters; his children, Corey (Jen) of Indianola, Mellisa Sones (Monte) of Indianola and Stacie Jones (Brian) of Indianola; his grandchildren, Emily Frauenholz (Sasha) of Iowa City, Amber Weiskircher (Cody) of Newton, Katie Sones of Iowa City, Nathan Jones, Kylie Piffer and Cayden Piffer of Indianola; his brother Mark Piffer (Kay) of Indianola; his niece Jennifer Portwood (Bill) of Canton, GA; and his nephew Michael Piffer (Lindsey) of Waukee. He is also survived by his grandkids, tinkering in his shop, doing projects for his kids and grandkids.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at the same location.
