He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Henry and Dorothy Eileen Furler (Walter); and his brothers-in-law, Glenn Huedepohl and Roger Folkmann. He is survived by: his son Chris Furler (Amber) of Castle Rock, Colorado; his grandsons, Lincoln, Landon and Pierson Furler; and his siblings, Kathy Folkmann of Iowa City, Russell Furler (Bonnie) of Conroy and Randy Furler (Kathy) of San Marcus, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A general memorial fund has been established.
