She was predeceased by: her son Wayne Smith; and her parents, Bob Harward and Mary Harward. She is survived by: her husband Doug Wahl; her son Matt Smith (Jen); her grandchildren, Addison Smith, Leila Smith, Evie Smith and Henry Smith; her siblings, Holly Harward, Mark Harward (Angela) and Susan Harward; her uncles, Bill Briggs (Linda) and John Briggs; and her nieces and nephews, Zachary Harward, Josh Ross, Jacob Ross, Ruth Schwendinger and Anna Ross.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Overton Funeral Home (501 W Ashland Ave, Indianola, IA 50125). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given in her name to the National Audubon Society.
