She was predeceased by: her parents, Zella Shearer and Clyde Shearer; and her siblings, Dr. Sherl K. Shearer, Marilyn Henery and Carol Shaw.
She is survived by: her husband DeVerne Dixon; her children, Denise Marie (Alan) and David Dixon (Christa Van Herreweghe); her grandchildren, Leah Andrews (Andy) and Chad Core (Susan); and her great grandchildren, Seth Core (Maegan), Kaila Core, Aaliyah Core, Ian Core and Paisley Graulich.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Trinity United Presbyterian Church (200 S Howard St, Indianola, IA 50125). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery (1202 S Jefferson Way, Indianola, IA 50125).
