With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Perry Yando of Indianola, Iowa, born in Knoxville, Iowa, who passed away on December 6, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Yando and Charles Beeby Yando; his former wife Doris Lee Yando; his daughter Susan Harwell; his son-in-law Reuben Harwell; and his sisters, Elouise Moe and Mary Alice Yando.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Yando; his children, Pamela Smits (Robert) of College Station, TX, Edwin Yando of Indianola and Lori Ball of Indianola; and his stepdaughters, Deborah Ensley (J. D.), Joan Bailey (Stuart), Rebecca Amundson (Mark) and Stephanie Amundson (Kevin). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Dan's memory may be made to the American Legion Post # 165 or Kiya Koda Humane Society of Indianola.
