She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Frey and Maxine Frey (Mace); her brother Curtis Frey; and her brother-in-law Glen Lyall. She is survived by: her husband Robert Lyall; her daughters, Brooks Lyall and Morgan Ginder (Matt); her grandson Charles; her sister-in-law Shirley Frey; her brother Lyle Frey (Susan); her sisters-in-law, Mary Schmidt (Michael Clark) and Connie Lyall; and her nieces and nephews, Heidi Frey (James), Michelle Frey-Tarbox (Tony), Stacey Frey-Chidester (Jordan), Michael Schmidt, Patrick Schmidt, Emily Schmidt Dohoney (Sean), Christina Lyall, Nicholle Pendergraft, Sara Lyall, Paul Lyall and Sarah Lyall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Cheryl's name to The Food Bank of Iowa or Villisca Alumni Association.
