It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil L. Spece of Independence, Iowa, who passed away on December 1, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Willis and Irene Charlotte Spece (Rider); his wife JoAnne Snyder; and his sisters, Shirley Johnson, Phyllis Claypool and Carolyn Versluis.

He is survived by: his son Travis Spece (Jennette) of Bonaparte, IA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
