With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomasine L. Gissel of Independence, Iowa, who passed away on June 23, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Clarence and Gladys Marcia Christiansen (Cowell); her husband Daryl Andrew "Bud" Gissel; her grandchildren, Jean Gretchen Kechely and Wesley Crawford; and her sister Jeannie Wilson.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Gissel (Marieta) of Independence, Duane Gissel (Ruth) of Madison, WI, Dean Gissel (Pamela) of Independence and Gretchen Potts (Steve) of Lincoln, NE; her brother-in-law Warren Wilson of Red Wing, MN; and her close friend Chris Nelson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
