He is survived by: his wife Sandra McMurrin of Independence; his children, Cylvi Gary (Tondrell) of Independence, Justin McMurrin (Stacey) of Mesa, AZ, Daniel Straw, Sr. (Megan) of Independence, Caleb McMurrin, Sr. (Valentina) of Tavares, FL and Jessica Peterson (Jason) of Independence; his grandchildren, Michael Taylor, Scott Faust, Daniel Straw, Jr., Stephanie Straw, Eilidh McMurrin, Caleb McMurrin, Jr., Nathan Faust, Duke Faust and Keelan Peterson; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Faust and Suede Faust; his siblings, Carla McMurrin of Jesup, IA, Marla Bonebrake of Jesup, IA, Darrin McMurrin (Melanie) of Winthrop, IA and Tim McMurrin; and his sisters-in-law, Kris McMurrin of Winthrop and Linda Palmer of Mt. Vernon, IA..

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
