He is survived by: his son Michael Kaune (Tina) of Waverly; his granddaughter Paityn Kaune; his stepgrandson Blake Kruse; his close friend Judy Gruetzmacher of Independence; his sisters, Lois Schlatter of Independence, Marilyn Darland (Tim) of Independence and Joann Drewes (Vaughn) of West Union; and his sisters-in-law, Iva Jean Kaune of Fayette, Judy Kaune of Hazleton and Darlene Makin (Ron) of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
