She is survived by: her husband Tom of Independence; her daughters, Shelly King (Martin) of Olathe, KS and Kerri Schutte (Fred) of Byron, MN; her grandchildren, Quinton King (Joni), Tommy King, Griffin King, Bryce Schutte (Brie), McKenzie Schutte and Noah Schutte; her great grandchildren, Caroline, Preston and Josie; and her brothers, Douglas Carpenter (Nancy) of Florida, Robert Carpenter (Carolyn) of Waterloo and Gary Carpenter (Kit) of Raymond, IA..
