She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Portwein and Helen Lorene Holden; and her siblings, Shelby Slaughter, Shirley Thurn, Eileen Meier, Eleanor Bowers, Marilyn Mehlerx, Abbie Holden, Melvin Holden and Alvin Holden.

She is survived by: her son Virgil "Luke" Holden of Independence; and her brother John "Jack" Holden of Independence.
