He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Richard Wegner and Ruth Lorraine Wegner (Rugg); his brother Lowell Wegner; and his sister-in-law Janet Wegner. He is survived by: his wife Marie Wegner of Independence, IA; his children, Cathy Lynes (Jim) of Mauston, WI, David Wegner (Nancy) of Defiance, MO and Linda Pattee (Tom) of Cedar Falls, IA; his grandchildren, Ryan Lynes (Katy), Kristin Lynes (Teddy), Michael Wegner (Jordan), Matthew Wegner, Sarah Carraher (Jack), Megan Hermann (Mikey), Jenna Frieden (Brooks) and Amy Patel (Neal); his great grandchildren, James, Bobby, Theo O'Reilly, Liam, Evan Lynes, Oliver, Preston, Raphael Carraher, Lincoln, Violet Hermann and Rowan Frieden; and his sisters, Karen Johnson (Ronald) of Bangor, WI and Sandra Barnes (George) of Stevens Point, WI..
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the White Funeral Home (400 1st St W, Independence, IA 50644).
Memorials will be directed to the family to be donated to Ron's favorite organizations.
