He is survived by: his sons, Jim Willems (Liz) of Dubuque, Dave Willems (Sue) of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Tom Willems (Angie) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Sarah Somers (Ben), Katie Hulslander (Darin), Steve Willems, Brian Willems, Mitch Willems and Kaitlynn Willems; his great grandchild Lydia Somers; his sister Lucille Douglas (Mel) of Hot Springs, AR; and his brother-in-law Ron Lievens (Dina) of Olathe, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in his name to St. John's Catholic Church, 209 5th Ave NE, Independence, IA 50644.
