He is survived by: his wife Patricia Deardoff of Independence; his son Rick Deardoff (Teresa) of Florida; and his stepchildren, Judy Norton (Mark) of Strawberry Point, IA, Allen Pont (Kim) of Oelwein, IA and Teresa Damon of Oelwein, IA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
