It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Cornwell of Independence, Iowa, who passed away on October 9, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Orville Keith Miller and Sarah Mary Bachman Miller; her parents-in-law, Margaret Cornwell and Ralph Cornwell; her brothers, Keith Miller, Howard Miller and Charles Miller; her husband Frank Edward Cornwell; her brother Maurice Miller; and her daughters, Brenda Freebern (Rick) of Overland Park, KS, Becky Brinson of Tallahassee, FL, Debra Kiler (Perry) of Olathe, KS, Carolyn Junk (Mike) of Hudson, IA and Jane Alft (Edwin) of Kansas City, KS.. She was also cherished by 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial donations be sent to Cremation Center of Kansas City, 4926 Johnson Drive, Roeland Park, KS 66205 for memorials in her name that the family will present to Maywood Community Church and Olathe Health Hospice House.
