She is survived by: her husband Allen Peterson of Independence, IA; her daughter-in-law Brenda Peterson of Independence, IA; her grandchildren, Wendy Gibbs (Stephen), Stephanie Leibold (Steve) and Mickey Peterson; her great grandchildren, Kale Hersom (Jaden Hoskins), Elleigh McGraw (Mitchell), Carley Hersom, Lily Hersom, Brittany Rykman, Brianna Kennett, Mitchell Gibbs, Marshall Gibbs, Madison Cornwell (Rusty), Mason Scott (Autumn), Max Scott, Stella Leibold, Kerstin Peterson, Kylee Peterson and Kennedy Peterson; and her siblings, Zelda Andersen, Loretta Wright (Kenny) and Robert Franck (Elsie). She is also survived by twenty great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reiff Family Center - Independence (216 3rd Ave SE, Independence, IA 50644). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the American Lutheran Church (801 Monroe St, La Porte City, IA 50651).
