She was predeceased by: her father Harold E. Esch; her brother Scott Esch; her parents-in-law, George and Bernice Curry; her siblings-in-law, Dennis Henderson, Bernard Curry, Leonard Curry, Lois Hermsen, Carol Woolery and Roseann Curry; and her niece Lisa Henderson.

She is survived by: her mother JoAnn Esch (Bwalwan) of Independence, IA; her former husbands, Charles Hoover and Donald Patrick Curry; her husband Donnie Curry of Independence, IA; her son Barry Hoover (Katie) of Independence, IA; her stepdaughter Suzanne Burshan of Tampa, FL; her grandchildren, Dalton, Blayke Hoover and Aliya Burshan; her siblings, Steve Esch (Patty) of Independence, IA, Brad Esch (Laurie), Roxann Henderson of Davidson, NC, Kathy Holt (Doug) and Jenny Reuther; and her brother-in-law Ron Curry (Sharon) of Independence, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Face masks and social distancing are recommended during the visitation and funeral service.

In lieu of flowers a Memorial Fund has been established at BankIowa in Independence to start a Scholarship Fund in honor Debbie.
