Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Lois Ann Wathen of Independence, Iowa, born in Fayette, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 94, on March 14, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Inez Cue and Lester Cue; her husband Bill; her siblings, Minnie LaVon Brelsford, Bernard Cue, Mildred Sines, Faye Cue, Lyle Cue and Beverly "June" Carson; and her son-in-law Dennis Murphy.

She is survived by: her children, Gail Murphy, Michael Wathen (Lynne), Carl Wathen (Lynne) and Carol Fagan of New Zealand; her grandchildren, Ben Murphy, Megan Murphy Salyer, Leia Wathen, Melissa Kopf, Brian Wathen, Bethany Votroubek and Alison Wathen Herfkens; her sister-in-law Linda Martin; and her pet Opie. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
