She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincen Hoskins and Opal Hoskins (Bender); her husband LaVern Gaffney; her daughter Cindy Pierson; and her brothers, LeRoy, Lloyd, Dennis and Jerry Hoskins.

She is survived by: her children, Phillip Richards, Brenda Madsen and Elvira "Shelley" McArthur; and her siblings, Calvin, Robert, Harold Hoskins and Lynda Baker. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
