He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Shepardson Millard and Virginia Mary Ellen Millard (Scholl); his sister Barbara Jane Millard; and his close friends, Chet and Fran Rosauer.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Millard of Independence, IA; his sons, Jeff Millard (Kat) of East Moline, IL, Ray Millard (Angela Thornton-Millard) of Lenexa, KS and Nick Millard (Amy) of Alamosa, CO; his grandchildren, Derek, Tim, Xzavier Millard, Charlotte, Wesley, Caroline Millard, Mary and Jillian Millard; his sister Beverly Petersen of Manly, IA.; and also, Joel Rosauer, Chet and Fran Rosauer. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the White Funeral Home (400 1st St W, Independence, IA 50644). Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location. A vigil service will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 5:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Catholic Church (209 5th Ave NE, Independence, IA 50644).
