She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon LeRoy and Elsa Marie Trumbauer (Christy); her husband Donald Roger Finley; and her siblings, Mary Trumbauer and Dave Trumbauer.

She is survived by: her children, Janet Miller (Scott) of Long Beach, NY, Donna Finley of Cedar Falls, IA, Linda Sondag (Bud) of Jesup and Russell; her grandchildren, Robert, Kelly, Abby, Kayla, Gregory, Amanda, Dustin, Samantha, Danielle, Cole and Caryn; her great grandchildren, Elexis, Hunter, Madison, Maison, Leyton, Emmalyn, Nathan, Lynndzie, Corbin, Georgia, Briley and Caley; and her great great grandchild Emma.

In lieu of flowers, Karen's wish was to have donations made to the Brandon Cemetery.

“Dear Family of Karen Finley, I just read of her death. I am so sad not to have learned of this earlier. I’d come her funeral. We went through school together, from kindergarten and beyond. She was someone I admired. She found 20 more books for me on the internet and now the 40 book series of Gilbert Morris, The Winslow House, is complete! Such a lady. And maintaining her weight loss is something to be proud about. And helping find people and their history. And help my dad get his license, sigh”
