He was predeceased by: his parents, John Peter Kout and Helen Theresa Kout (Balik); his sister Joann Mahlestedt (Darold); and his nephew Mark Kruse. He is survived by: his wife Carol Kout of Independence; his daughter Alicia Imbouathong (Don) of Waterloo, IA; his grandchildren, Kaia and Greyson; and his sisters, Mary Kruse (Melvin) of Lawler, IA and Margret Nolte (George) of Nicholasville, KY..
